Polydactyly, in humans, refers to the presence of more than five fingers or toes on each limb. It’s also one of the telltale signs, or glitches, that can reveal an image was generated by an AI model. Starting from this involuntary punctum, Bruno Ribeiro takes hold of the subject in his first solo exhibition, questioning: is he the artist or the assistant? What role does technology play in his practice (influence, inspiration, or tool) ?

Several possible answers unfold from one of the defining features of our humanity: the hand. A vector of eMotion and expression, present in art history since Prehistory, the hand remains the most difficult part of the body to represent, even for an algorithm. In this exhibition, a series of video, digital, and physical installations invite audiences to explore the limits of seeing and perceiving.
